BONE TUBERCULOSIS (POTT DISEASE) USUALLY INVOLVES SPINE. IT CAN BE SEEN IN ALL VERTEBRAE, INCLUDING NECK, BACK AND WAIST.

A 56-year old patient presented with severe pain in arms, weakness in arms and legs and difficulty walking. Neck MRI revealed a massive tuberculous abscess (bone tuberculosis) (Pott abscess) and severe pressure to the spinal cord. The patient was operated by our team, the abscess was cleared totally. A new neck spine was formed with the patient’s own bone taken from the hip and put into the neck. Today, the patient is living without any problems.
